At Hechkoff Executive Search, we believe the search process is best accomplished by highly experienced professionals that bring a wealth of market knowledge, a network of solid contacts and the business maturity to understand your needs and translate them into worthy candidates.
Since every search is critically important to the company requesting it, we believe in a hands-on approach by partners and senior leadership for every assignment.

Thorough Understanding of NeedsWe believe a professional search process begins with a thorough understanding of a client's needs. So, we go well beyond defining the specific skill set you require. We believe in working in partnership with you to review the business and professional context of your situation. We become your advocate, your sounding board and your consultant.

We gain insight into your culture through interviews and thoughtful discussions with you and designated executives. Methodical Evaluation of CandidatesBefore we can evaluate candidates, we need to find them. Comprehensive research is the key to success for any search. We designate at least two weeks initially to thoroughly preparing, ensuring no stone is left unturned. Unlike some firms, senior leadership is always significantly involved in this decisive first phase.
We begin with a list of the most likely specific organizations in which to look. These firms are scrupulously explored to identify people that may fit our portrait of the ideal candidate. We rely on our extensive network of contacts, expert referrals, research from past searches, online and print databases, company directories, trusted industry sources and other means to pinpoint potential candidates by name and title.
With this pool of potential candidates, our insight and talent for recruiting really begins to shine. We talk to every potential candidate to gain a better understanding of how well they may fit our parameters. While our client is not revealed at this stage, this is where the recruiting process really begins. Since not every professional is initially interested in exploring new opportunities, we will work with high-potential candidates to get them to the next level-an in-depth behavioral interview with a partner or senior leader of the firm. This stringent process helps ensure the best fit with your organization.
Once we are satisfied with a candidate's potential, we present them to you. You will get their resume-with credentials and academic degrees verified-our insights and any other information that may be helpful in the selection process. Every candidate we present is worthy of consideration.
Regular CommunicationRegular, on-going, substantive information is vital to a successful search. We will be in regular contact to provide updates and keep you informed of progress. Your ongoing thoughts, ideas and feedback on the position are very important since your parameters may evolve as you begin talking with candidates.
Since we also believe in treating all candidates with dignity and respect, we advise communicating decisions clearly, promptly and accurately as we meet candidates. We want to ensure that every person you speak with leaves the search process with a positive feeling about your company.
Expert Selection & Negotiation AdviceWe will assist you throughout the entire selection and negotiation process. Once you have made your choice, we will act as your advocate and serve as intermediary during the final negotiations. We can bring our marketplace expertise and insights into the company and candidate to ensure the needs of all are met fairly. We call it being an "Honest Broker" - representing the interests of both client and candidate at every stage, so that, in the end, we've done more than fill a pressing need.
