Robert B. Hechkoff
President and Founder

A 30-year veteran of the retained search industry, Bob formed Hechkoff Executive Search in 1989 to specialize in finding exceptional senior-level talent for leading-edge global organizations.

He has built executive management teams for elite professional services firms, including IBM Global Services, Ernst & Young and Accenture. In completing these challenging assignments, he has refined the art of engaging executives on their level, presenting new opportunities to them in a compelling manner, and shepherding the client-candidate engagement process through to a successful close. 

Prior to forming Hechkoff Executive Search, Bob was a senior recruiter at EDP World, Inc. where he was instrumental in expanding the firm's practice to the technology, telecommunications, and professional services arenas.

Away from the office, Bob is a harness racing enthusiast who owns standardbred racehorses and is a competitive harness racing driver.

Maria R. Pellicione

Managing Director, Head of Research and Operations

Maria is the Leader of the Strategic Communications Practice. Additionally, she is responsible for the oversight of research and office operations for Hechkoff Executive Search.

With more than a decade of expertise in placing strategic communications executives, Maria has been instrumental in expanding the firm's communications practice. She has successfully completed senior-level search assignments for clients including: Avon, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Cantel Medical, Eisai, Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Moody's Investor Services, MCS Public Relations, Stanton PRM, Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, and Uniworld/WPP Worldwide.

Earlier in her career, Maria was a Senior Executive Recruiter and General Manager at The Goldman Group, a leading executive search firm specializing in public relations. She managed practice areas dedicated to pharmaceutical/healthcare, professional and legal services industries.

Maria received her B.S. from Pace University with a major in Computer Science and minor in Communications, and she is currently pursuing her Master's at New York University with a concentration in Management and Human Resources. She has been a guest speaker on career development panels and is a member of the Public Relations Society and affiliate communications Chapter organizations.
